I used to have this Fiskars paper trimmer. It was okay, but I could never get anything to actually cut straight. I finally realized it wasn’t me, it was the fact that the bar that flipped out didn’t actually hold the paper perfectly straight. I kept wondering why everyone else could make cards from cardstock, and I was completely incompetent in that area. I’ve spent a fortune buying notecards because I couldn’t seem to make my own.
I went to Costco last weekend, and picked up one of these….

It’s a Fiskars rotary paper trimmer. It was around $27, and although it’s not as portable as my old one, I LOVE IT!!! I had picked up some beautiful Memory Box cardstock wanting to make notecards out of it, and was finally able to (without butchering them!)
And for $5 you can buy additional blades that make different cuts. I picked up this scallop blade and can’t get enough. I’ve scalloped about 20 pieces of cardstock in 5 minutes! No more messing around with those stinky scissors (I can’t cut straight, and they’re always annoying me!) I don’t like to do things unless they’re fast & easy. Now I can make scalloped cards for Valentine’s Day!
