Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day. I was able to get some crafting done, and spend time with my family, which made it a great day!My husband just started a blog about being a stay at home Dad, and wrote a sweet post for me on Mother’s Day- you can follow his adventures here.
Here is Friday’s pages from my Week in the Life album…
Love this picture- Ryan is looking for her best friend who lives next door. Hoping she can come out to play
Article in the local paper about a farm camp that Ryan will go to this summer for a week.
Baseball card pages. Took less pictures today than other days, so included some random images of the house/dogs/yard/blog.
Templates & Word Art- Ali Edwards @ Designer Digitals
Digital paper- Jessica Sprague.com (grey diamonds)
Traditional Paper- American Crafts (yellow), Amy Butler (grey polka)
Bingo Card- Jenni Bowlin
Thursday’s finished album pages. I ended up doing much more digitally than I had thought I would, but it helped so much in getting things completed. If I had done this all manually it would still be sitting in a pile on my desk, that’s for sure. I loved adding the traditional stuff in the baseball card pages, and used a corner rounder punch on each item in those pages.
Title page- Love this picture of Julia having some tummy time. I worked with it quite a bit in PSE, but couldn’t get it quite right when printing, but I decided just to go with it- still love the shot and the perspective.
Back of journaling page w/ the invitation to the Mother’s Day tea @ Ryan’s school. I pulled the invitation apart so you could see the inside as well.
Baseball card pages- trip to the library.
Back of baseball card pages- grocery list, shopping, dinner.
Last page- Ryan lining up her favorite Magic Treehouse books from the library, baby feet
Posting some more of my Week in the Life album.
Title Page- Art Show at Ryan’s school
journaling page – patterned paper from Making Memories
Page 1 of baseball card pages- Ryan brushing her teeth in the Panera bathroom before her dentist appointment- she thought that was hysterical
Last page for Wednesday.
Here are the completed pages from Tuesday for the Week in the Life Project. You can learn more about this project HERE.
Back of journaling page with “stuff”
Baseball card pages
Last page for Tuesday- photo collage
I have finished my Week in the Life album, and it feels GOOD. I love it. More than I would ever have thought. Perhaps it’s because I have started back at work, and am feeling a little emotional about family right now. I so enjoyed the process, and cried when I looked through my completed album. So grateful to have documentation of our last days of my maternity leave. I hardly remember what I did with my first daughter on maternity leave, and am so very grateful to have this to go back to.
Here are the shots of Monday in the completed album. I wanted to go back and add more embellishments or stitching, but then I realized that’s not what this project is about. I followed Ali’s basic format, using her designer digitals templates, and added in a 6×12 page for each day with journaling on one side (template adapted from Ali’s Yesterday & Today class using her Story of Today overlays), and stuff accumulated from each day on the back.
Monday’s opening page
Monday’s journaling page
Back of Monday’s journaling with “stuff”- drawing from Ryan & picture from Pottery Barn catalog
Baseball card pages w/ small photos, handwritten journaling cards, more “stuff” & patterned paper

Final page for Monday w/ photo collage
Will post the rest of the week as I finish editing the photos!

I’m still working on compiling all of my photos and journaling from the last two days, but here’s a peek at how some of the pages are coming together. I definitely thought about messing with some of the templates, but in the end I decided that this project is big enough and using the pre-designed templates will work best.
in between these two pages will be some baseball card sheet protectors with photos and journaling cards.
Still deciding how I want to do my big journaling piece for the day.
Would love to see what some of you are doing if you’re participating- please leave me a link!
