Over the Moon

This little Elzy was one of the cards we made in my class at The Paper Tree today.  I had so much fun! This was the first card class I taught, and I can’t wait to do it again.   The theme was birthdays, but I wanted to mix some non-standard birthday sentiments in. 

This class was also all about Copics, and we practiced some of the shading techniques – like here on the moon.  I also used some ultrafine glitter on the moon to add some sparkle.

Notecards & Ribbon – A Muse

Elzy Angel

I love the fairy dust notecards from A Muse- they are such a beautiful pale shade of pink.  I was looking for the perfect image to go with this card, and love how this Elzy girl came out.

I used some glitter on her dress, and Doodlebug Designs paper frills in bubble blue.  I also later added “happy day” at the bottom, but not sure if I like it better with no sentiment.

Beep Beep!

Here’s another Elzy card I made for The Paper Tree.  I do love this little girl in her beetle- too cute!

I stamped the house from the A Muse house with trees stamp, and just cut out the house.  This allowed me to place it sticking out above the pretty little paper.  I think it’s called the “out of the box” technique.  I’ve been trying to challenge myself to use different techniques.  I really struggled with this card, as I wanted to have her driving somewhere, not just by herself.  I tried both the A Muse house and brownstone stamps, but they just didn’t look right with the Elzy style.  I finally decided on this one.

I used my Spica silver glitter pen on the bumper, and then the clear one on the car to add some shimmer.

My 1st Elzy…

Here is my first Elzybell’s card ever…..I know, where have I been?  Michelle at The Paper Tree has asked me to make some cards for her new A Muse wall, and so I borrowed a few of her stamps to make some Elzy cards too.  I’ve been trying to stick with just A Muse- I only can handle one obsession at a time, you know?  Hee hee.
