I just love background stamps – I’m always drawn to the graphics in them. I have quite a few that I’ve collected, but I don’t get nearly enough use out of them. Whenever I see a card made with them I always feel inspired to bring them out again.
I decided to pull out all of my favorite backgrounds, and see what I could come up with. I’ll post a few of the cards I came up with over the next few days.
I CASE’d this one from a card I saw on the Savvy website – I liked it so much I decided I needed one of my own

I used A Muse pigment black ink and embossed the A Muse solid zinnia to make it really bold and glossy, then popped it on foam tape. I then used a black Sakura glaze pen to draw in the stem and leaf. The background stamp is Savvy, and is stamped with Colorbox Chalk Yellow Cadmium – a perfect complement to the A Muse buttercup notecard.
I’ve left out the sentiment for now, and will add one later for whatever occasion I need.

Very classy! I love the simplicity of it.
