Here’s a birthday card I made last week for Jenn Shurkus’ birthday. She is a huge margarita fan, so I thought this stamp would be perfect for her.

This weekend was the CK convention in New Hampshire. It was my first time attending, and since I’m more of a card maker than a scrapbooker I decided to take some classes to see if I could get some ideas. It was exhausting all those classes and shopping! I’m not sure if I’ll take classes again. Most of them were fun, but not really my style. But, there was one that was based on the book Hip Handmade Gifts which I loved.
I’ll try to post some of the projects we made soon. I did get some fun stuff – mostly lots of my favorite American Crafts paper. I didn’t see as much fun stuff as I thought I would, but I still managed to spend some $$!
I did find a discount scrapbooking booth that had some fun Heidi Swapp stuff for $1. I got these awesome hot pink fuzzy rub-ons. I’ve never really used rub-ons before, but I couldn’t resist these colors and designs. Of course, there IS a reason they are only $1! They were a PAIN to place. It took about 20 minutes and still didn’t come out perfect. The backing paper was completely shredded when I was done. Still- aren’t they too cute??
